Gustaf back in Göteborg

Hallo!

Back in town! After US with Birger late 2006 I spend my time with Johanna and my new born daughter Selma. Me and Birger worked a few more weeks with the layout of our report and after some further few month of applying for job's I started at Albany International in Halmstad. Albany international is a supplier of paper machine clothing, something that I didn’t heard of before but something that are crucial for all owners of paper machines and something they are willing to pay a lot of money for. Moved to Varberg and into a small, and very nice, house and felt like a real family father; with car, daughter and wife (even if I wasn’t married). I arrived home during late afternoons and sat down with a beer on my new verandah and felt that life was good. Nevertheless, after a short period of what we in Sweden call Svensson-liv I’m now back in Göteborg. Still working in Halmstad, we will see how the life turns out in the future. I will be back!

Wedding and chinese food

Well, it was a VERY long time since we last wrote something on this webpage! So better step up and take care of business. Last Saturday we went to Yunfeng and Jun's wedding. It was a nice day with Göteborgsvarv and all. Industrial Ecology was represented by Gustaf, Birger, Vendela and myself. Gustaf is now back in town, but maybe he can post a message about that himself. Today we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Gothenburg. We hade a great meal and discovered that what we thought were famous Chinese dishes are normally not eaten in China. Since Yunfeng was with us, we also got to pick dishes from the special Chinese menu. Nice indeed.

So guys, post a comment on the lateset news or any other funny stuff we can discuss...

Cheers

Finally I am here!

Hej, everybody!

I am in our blog finally, after a bunch of failed tries. Yes, the chalmers mail does not work on this blog invitation issue. Anyway, very happy I am here.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer. I am staying at home in Goteborg right now and dealing with some job issues. I suppose to join a SKF international trainee programme and start to work in SKF from september if the application of work permit goes well. I really love swedish summmer. The delightful weather, great sunshine and beautiful landscape....... I had some small trips or maybe hiking to some nice islands and lakes (stora Delsjön). They are really interesting!

I will let you know more about me and my work permit application process. Hope everything will go well. Looking forward to hear more from everybody!

Hugs to all,

Li

Lic.

Fun that at least 2 of you have found your way in here. Mathieu promised to post a message soon also. Today I was at Martin Perssons licenciate (spelled like that?) presentation. A lot of people from FRT were there, and I was tired since it was after lunch and I ate a Veggie buffe... you know how it goes. It was fun though, unfortunately I had to go after the presentation so I missed the really fun part (opposition-discussion) and champagne. Well well, now I'm of to work. Last day of assembling trucks for this summer. Yeah!!!

Olá! :-)

Cool Madde!!

I'm looking forward to hearing news from ALL of you! Myself I'm melting in Lisbon, the weather is exceptionally hot but luckily places (stores, bars, book fair!) are open until late at night so I'm staying at home for the hottest hours and trying to get some serious stuff done (Ulrika's home assignments and job searching ;-)) and then going out only later. Anyway June is a good month to be here; many free concerts, festivals and other events. Next BIG party is for the "city saint", Santo António, on June 12th. The old part of Lisbon is already full of decorations and temporary bars on the streets - anyone passing this way don't miss the party at my patio! :-)

Hugs and kisses to all!

Recalling some old memories

Our blog for staying in touch...

Yes, this is our new contact room. I was talking to Elke and Vendela yesterday and updated them on all the latest industrial ecology news that I had. We then started talking about how little contact we have with each other nowadays so we thought maybe a blog could be the way to go. Especially since it seem as the Industrial Ecology webpage at Chalmers is slightly delayed, and maybe we won't even get o forum there (according to Ulrika's latest news). I guess it is just to sign upp and post a comment whenever you feel like it. Sharing stuff like where we are working, what we are doing, if we find out about cool jobs or seminars or other news...

I guess I should start with saying what I'm up to. Well, I've just finished my courses (hopefully all of them) so I'm about to find a thesis... which I'm working on right now. Will let you know more about that when I know more about it, hopefully next week. Moreover I'm still at Volvo Trucks. Will work there this week as well and next week I start my REAL summer job at Volvo Powertrain. The task is to collect engine data and do something with it in Matlab or Excel, well, I guess I'll know more about that next week.

So hope to see a posting from you all very soon.
